About Us
The Bay Area Youth Swim Club, known as BAYS is a non-profit
swimming organization that was founded in 1984, and restructured in
1996. The goal of the club is to emphasize growth and development
for the team as well as the individual athlete. The swimmers
improvement is a primary focus. Being individuals, they will learn
at different rates and in different ways.
As a club we strive for our athletes to reach their full potential
by teaching the skills specific to swimming, but also through
reinforcing strong values that apply to all facets of life. Our team
members not only learn the sport of swimming but also respect, goal
setting, team building, dedication and sportsmanship. Our hope is
that they develop strong friendships and have fun as they build
self-confidence and character in an atmosphere of encouragement and
instruction.
