| BAY AREA YOUTH SWIM CLUB COACHING STAFF | |
Bob LaRocque Head Coach Bob, a native of Bay City, graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in May of 2007 with a B.A. in French, and is currently attending SVSU to become a teacher, teaching French and Science. He started his swimming career with the Bay Area Youth Swim Club in 1992 at the age of 8 until 2000. While swimming with the team he was both a state qualifier in the MTSL and USS leagues. In addition to swimming with the club team, Bob was a member of the John Glenn High School Boys Swim team from 1998-2002. He received 1st team All- Conference honors all 4 years in high school. Bob has been coaching with the BAYS team since the fall of 2005. He is also a lifeguard instructor, teaches swim lessons for Bangor Recreation, and the BAYS swim school. |

Toni Sapyak Junior and Junior Development Coach Toni is a native of Bay City and is currently attending Saginaw Valley State University to become an athletic trainer. Toni started swimming for BAYS in the late 80's. Toni was also a member of the Western High School Swim team which won two Valley Conference titles. Toni has been coaching with the BAYS team since 2004. Besides coaching swimming, she loves watching sports, especially basketball, baseball, and rugby. |
